Overview
The Highwind Tower (ハイウィンドの塔 [highwind no tou] or 'highwind tower' in Japanese) is a nesting ground for wyverns that lies in the closed-off eastern portion of Deist. It's surrounded by mountains, and the only semi-human habitat close by is the Dragon Roost, a small hamlet where dragoons can live with their wyverns.
During the story of Dimensions, the Warriors of Light entered the tower with the dragoon Barbara to try and cure an ailing and pregnant wyvern Ceres. They managed to feed Ceres some dragon grass, and it helped her deliver her egg, but it wasn't enough for Ceres herself in her weakened state, and she passed away. Barbara started taking care of the egg, and unlocked the powers of the dragoon Crystal in the process.
