Mt Genora

Overview

Mt Genora1 (ジェノラ山 [genora san] or 'mt genora' in Japanese) is a mountain on the Floating Continent in Final Fantasy III. It is located to the south-east of the town of Canaan, and is directly south of the Parmeni Mountains.
The mountain is more commonly known by the dungeon name Dragon's Peak (ドラゴンの住む山 [dragon no sumu yama] or 'mountain where a dragon lives' in Japanese). The name comes from the great dragon Bahamut who nests atop the mountain.

During the game, the Warriors of Light climb the mountain in search of the missing Desch. They are captured by Bahamut and dropped into its mountain peak nest, where they find Desch safe and sound. Bahamut then returns to the nest and decides this prey is more trouble than it's worth for its hatchlings, and evicts the offenders.
