Tokkul

Overview

Tokkul (トックル [tokkul] in Japanese) is a village on the Floating Continent in Final Fantasy III, located on the southern edge of the inner sea. It is protected by the Miranos Mountains to the east, and a large desert spreads out towards the west. Beyond the desert lies the Village of the Ancients.

Tokkul is an optional area in game terms. Upon visiting it, the Warriors of Light find that only the elderly are left in the village, and most houses are boarded up. The villagers have been taken by Hein, whose newly built castle wanders the desert to the west. When the Warriors defeat Hein, the moving castle regains its senses as the elder of the Living Forest, located to the north-west of Tokkul.
