Dira
Table of Contents

The Dirae are a trio of Roman demigods, the equivalent of the Furies from Greek myths. They punished those guilty of murder, arrogance, and other crimes. Their appearance is said to be hideous, with snakes for hair and poisonous blood. Sometimes it is said that these creatures were called Furies when in hell, Harpies when on earth, and Dirae when in heaven. 'Dira' is the singular form of the plural 'dirae'.
ディーライ [dirae] in Japanese.
