Zombie

The word 'zombie' is possibly of West African origin, from the words 'zumbi' which means 'fetish' or the word 'nzambi' which means 'god', or possibly a creole word through Spanish which meant 'shade' or 'ghost'. The word came to be assosiciated with reanimated corpses due to the voodoo cult(s).
ゾンビ or ゾンビー [zombie] in Japanese.
