Saronia Castle Mysteries (サロニア城の謎 in Japanese) is the first part of the Final Fantasy III event in Airborne Brigade. It changed the Chocobo Farm into a fully paid system with different "steps" of payment costing subsequently more but giving higher rates at obtaining an SSR ability. It also took out the roaming red chocobos entirely. The CP vault is similar to previous events, but slightly different.
The event ran from June 6th, 2013 to June 16th, 2013. Though the event itself is only one part and has only one ranking at the end, the SSR weapon from the CP vault changes midway through, at the end of June 10th.

Overview
The event region for this event was called Overworld (FFIII), and included areas from Final Fantasy III, specifically around Saronia Castle. The daily login bonus included x10 of a random one of the transmutation items.
Catacombs
There were many bosses for this event, with the main boss being War God Odin. The event implemented a system similar to that of the Chaos Dungeon where brigades worked together to fight through a series of progressively stronger bosses before reaching Odin, with a Rush time that guaranteed entry into the Catacombs. Another returning mechanic from the same event was that of combo bonuses on EX bosses so each attack is stronger than the one before.
Instead of having Espers running around, this event has Garuda as a more "regular" boss. Garuda can only be found out of Rush Time, after players either completes a full set of Catacombs bosses and Odin, or if a Catacomb boss escapes due to time running out. Killing Garuda increases the chances of finding a way into the Catacombs.
Unlike in Showdown, the Catacombs bosses stay in the same order always, and there are no telepoints. They are: Blood Worm, Kyklops, Behemoth, and Cyclops. They give twice the CP as Garuda.
After the first four bosses, players can fight Odin. Odin gives twice again the amount of CP as regular EX bosses, as well as 100,000 gil, five Crystal Keys, six of each type of SR scroll, and 4 Dark Matter (N)s.
In addition, players earn twice the amount of transmutation items from level 8 Garudas, level 9 EX bosses, and level 10 Odins.
CP Exchange
The CP vault is in a similar format as the ones from The Lost Truth and Truth is Forever. However, instead of non-event R and R+ weapons filling in the rest of the pulls, the chests have a chance to give scrolls.
Below are the items available for exchange.
Crystal Chest: Chance of SSR, SR+, SR and R+ event weapons, and Weapon/Ability/Summon Scrolls II (R and R+). Requires 50,000 CP and a Crystal Key to open.
Platinum Chest: Chance of SR+ and Weapon/Ability/Summon Scrolls II (R and R+). Requires 2,500 CP to open.
Weapon Scroll III: 250 CP for first time, 1,500 CP for all subsequent times.
Ability Scroll III: 250 CP for first time, 1,500 CP for all subsequent times.
Summon Scroll III: 250 CP for first time, 1,500 CP for all subsequent times.
CP Vault
The total number of event weapons in the vault this time was 251, with the 1 there being an SSR weapon. Once you succeed in getting an SSR weapon, you can 'restock' the vault. This replenishes the number of all types of weapons in the vault to max, including SSR. The maximum number of times you can restock in each half of the event is 4, for a maximum of 5 SSRs of each type. Once the SSR weapon in the CP vault changes, it will automatically reset the vault.
The event weapons available range from x2 (non-event specific weapons) to x5 to x10 (SSRs) bonus. There are also x8 weapons from Fat Chocobo (see below). Below you can find the weapons included. Note that only the SSR weapons changed halfway through the event from Magic Lance to Selene Bow, the others staid the same.

Chocobo Farm
The Chocobo Farm got a huge overhaul this time. Instead of using Zegham Carrots, the Farm became cash-only. There are 6 steps of payment to the farm, each costing more but giving higher chances to obtain an SSR ability. The last steps can be repeated any number of times.
Also different from the previous farms, the abilities in the farm do not seem to get depleted. Thus, the chances at getting better abilities never increase except by paying for additional steps.
In addition, there are no roaming red chocobos, so the Chocobo Farm is the only place to obtain event abilities at all, aside from the one ability possible from Fat Chocobo (see below). The farm only has rank R and above abilities. The currency on the farm is in Mobacoins or KP, depending on OS.

Fat Chocobo
The Fat Chocobo now gives out event weapons and abilities in additional to regular, non-event ones. When trading him an SR or SR+ weapon or ability, there is a small chance he may give you the Elder Staff or the Fira. These items and abilities have an event bonus of x8.

Transmutation
Transmutation in this event works much like it has in past events. Once you have them, you can use them to transmute some of the stronger event weapons and abilities.
The number of items is the same as in most other events; stronger weapons and abilities require 400 items un-boosted and go down to 50 required, weaker weapons and abilities require 200 and down to 25.
