Monk

The Monk (モンク [monk] in Japanese) is one of the original Final Fantasy jobs, present from the first game onwards. They specialize in hand-to-hand combat, and can sometimes be more efficient with no weapon at all than when bearing weapons. The Master Monk and Blackbelt jobs are evolved forms of the Monk, it can be connected to the White Monk and even Juggler jobs, and it is somewhat similar to the Bishop job too.
Typical Monk abilities are Boost and Kick, both present in the series from early on. Examples of Monks in the series are not hard to find. There is Josef from FF2, Yang Fang Leiden from FF4, Sabin Rene Figaro from FF6, Tifa Lockhart from FF7, Zell Dincht from FF8 and Cornelia Karst from FF11 to mention the most prominent ones.
