Ninja

Ninja (忍者 [ninja] in Japanese) as a job is one of the Final Fantasy staples, although not as often used as some others. It first appeared in the original Final Fantasy, so has long traditions in the series. It is somewhat similar in function to the Assassin and Sniper jobs. The job's abilities also often coincide with those of the Thief, of which it was the evolved form of in FFI.
Instead of spells, a Ninja uses Ninjutsu as a way to hinder their enemies and help their allies. They are known for working in and with the shadows, and one of their prominent abilities is Dual Wield. Examples of Ninja are Edward Geraldine from FF4, Shadow from FF6, Yuffie Kisaragi from FF7 and Ewen from FFTA2.

Ninja are rather like Thieves updated for more damage output and slightly less ability versatility. However, they do get the Dual Wield ability which makes them very good damage dealers indeed, as they can add twice in a turn natively.
