Adventuring Life

It is a good feeling, to be useful for your country. I finished my task of killing orcs the other day, and when I reported back, the guard was already much more friendly with me. In the excitement of having done something good, I immediately signed up for another one. This time, I am going out to investigate some weird reports from King Ranperre's Tomb. I am not quite certain I am up to the task, but I will certainly do my best. To pray for success in my deeds, I visited the Cathedral, and am going to attend a sermon sometime soon. To do this, I must first bring them water from the River Cheval just east of the City.

I am surprised how many different kinds of people become adventurers. As I reported back to the city guard from killing orcs, a strangely-clad fellow elvaan courteously asked him what had become of the late Queen. As hard as it is for me to believe it, this adventurer apparently did not know a thing of her death, even though it happened 15 years ago.

As excited as I am for finally being able to do what I have wished to do for so long, the fact remains that one needs gil to live. I have taken upon myself to help the citizens of our nation - not only for simple desire of helping them, but also for making some gil. An adventurer needs to eat, too. It is quite surprising, but as I was viewing the wares at Rosel's Armour Shop, a courier came in, demanding the Prince's cloak. A respectable man, this Rosel, to be doing business with the Chateau. Nevertheless, he seems to be a bit absentminded, as he forgot to give a receipt of the cloak to the courier. I helped him out by delivering it to the Chateau's gates.
